My first time being on the Match Poker team was a memorable one. Because the format removes most of the luck from the game, I found my focus shifting towards things that really mattered. Instead of getting frustrated about running kings into aces, I was thinking about how to extract more value with my strong hands, relative to the other teams. After all, every team gets the same cards in a given set of hands.

It was also a great chance to bond with the rest of the SG team members. I definitely made some good friends, and even though we didn't manage to take down the qualifiers, we'll definitely come back stronger in the finals!
