Lisa Tan Meiling (Captain)
Loves poker, Hearthstone and problem solving. Lisa was the first woman to win the Manila Megastack Event. A top performer in recent Nations Cups, she is an inspiration to women in Match Poker everywhere.

Zefirelli Noordin (Vice Captain & Team Manager)
A semi-retired investor and recreational poker player, Zef played a crucial role in helping the team reach the Nations Cup. He supports team operations and finance.

Phua Tzai Wei (Team Coach)
Big Liverpool and football fan and avid risk taker. Former captain of Team Singapore, Tzai Wei won a Pokerstarts Platinum Pass upon winning the Manila Megastack in 2018 and securing a 19th place finish in the WSOP online poker main event in 2020.

Ng Qingyang
Better known as QY, Qingyang is an Elite Coach at Run It Once. He played 10/20 live for most of his career and started coaching around 5 years ago. To date, he has worked with over 100 students with glowing reviews.

Wee Yee Joon Darren
A recreational tournament player, Darren previously played for Singapore in 2021 World Finals and helped the team qualify to the 2022 Finals.

After falling in love with poker in her university days, Lisa has consistently been a top performer in the last few Nations Cups. Renowned for being the first woman to win the Manila Megastack Main Event, Tan aims to encourage more women to try Match Poker!

Phua Tzai Wei (Team Coach)
Started playing poker in 2013 in college. Former captain of Team Singapore, Tzai Wei won a Pokerstarts Platinum Pass upon winning the Manila Megastack in 2018 and securing a 19th place finish in the WSOP online poker main event in 2020.

Ivan Tan (Team Manager)
Currently retired, Ivan is regarded as a pioneer and one of the best poker players in Singapore since bursting onto the scene in 2007 finishing runner-up at the APPT Macau Main Events.

An entrepreneur with 4 years of playing under his belt, Keith placed 2nd in the APT Championships Philippines 2017 Main Event.

Lin Ruizi
Having first started playing poker shortly after A levels and before the start of his national service, Ruizi was very drawn to the strategic aspect of it as he was then a competitive Magic: The Gathering player, amongst various strategy games.

A regular face at the final tables of Asian Tournaments (before the Pandemic), Norbert captured the imagination of the local poker community with his fantastic run in the WSOP main event, eventually finishing 27th elevating him in the top 10 on Singapore’s all-time money list.

Lee Jia En Bernice (Qualifiers Player)
A student, Bernice started playing poker in 2017. She loves meeting new people and the thrill of poker and helped the team qualify for the 2021 Nations Cup Finals.

Kevin Quek (Qualifiers Player)
Picked up poker in 2004 whilst working in Wall Street and continued playing when he was working in HK as Macau was just a 1 hour hop away, Kevin would typically play for 20-25 hours straight on the weekends. He loves the game as it has many similar characteristics to trading, where a mix of probabilities, psychology, bankroll management and patience comes into play.

Started playing poker since university days where he started off with cash games and slowly transitioned to tournaments. He loves how poker is multifaceted and like life there’s always a chance to win no matter the cards you are dealt!

A fan of card games since his youth, Desmond enjoys grinding online (Former PokerStars Supernova) and loves the competitive nature of poker as a mind sports lover.

Phua Tzai Wei (Team Captain)
A huge Liverpool fan! Tzai Wei enjoys the competition, mental simulation and freedom to "be your own boss" aspects of Poker the most. Phua left school to pursue poker as full time profession and first ventured into tournaments in 2018. He made history earning a coveted Pokerstars Platinum Pass when he won a Manila Megastack event last year. He looks to make his mark in the game in years to come.

Daniel is an esteemed veteran of the game. He has over 26 cashes in Hendon Mob since 2009 and has a phenomenal 9 first place finishes. One of the most dangerous tournament players around, this card shark represented Singapore in Chess and Pool during his youth.

Lim Min Soon (Player-Manager)
Min Soon works in a global bank as a fraud risk manager when he’s not catching bluffs at the poker table. A Manchester United fan and former college football captain, he is the only triple crown winner of the highly popular Singapore Poker Championship series. A respected name in the Poker community, he is happily married with two lovely daughters.

A self-declared foodie, Brandon is a professional poker player focusing on live and online cash games. He was featured on the highly popular Live At The Bike stream earlier this year. A recent graduate of SMU in 2018, he enjoys tennis and pool as his other hobbies.

Lisa takes pride in being a casual tournament player, despite claiming 3 titles this year and becoming the first woman to win the Manila Megastack Main Event. She enjoys grinding out cash games with strangers and prefers burying herself in a book or two to pass the time. But as a woman, she fairly warns any in her way who try to outplay or give her a bad beat, hell has no fury like a woman scorned!

Professional cash game player. A feared and respected regular in RWS. Years of experience sweeping chips of cash game tables in Singapore. A Business Management graduate from SMU, he declares his other hobby as playing 狼⼈人杀 (werewolf kill) online game. Xi Yuan is immensely passionate about poker and enjoys the freedom it brings.

Ivan Tan
Started playing in 2000 and enjoys the social aspect of the game. After finishing runner-up in an APPT Macau Main Event in 2007, Ivan is widely regarded as a pioneer and one of the best poker players in Singapore, with winnings in excess of 200,000 USD.

Asian Game Gold Medalist of Team Singapore Contract Bridge, Desmond is a public servant that enjoyed card games since he was young. A former international chess player of Team Singapore Youth team, he has transitioned into playing card games.

Freddy Kwek
Freddy is a veteran of the game, having started playing in 2008 and fell in love with the game ever since. He won the main event of the Singapore Poker Championship and has numerous cashes in this long running poker cruise series. Freddy is happily married with a daughter and is a Chief Operating Officer of a regional marketing company.
